Alice Blue

Alice Blue is a mixed media artist known for her vibrant floral abstracts that bring colour, joy, and a sense of calm to everyday life. Her work, created from imagination, features rich layers of acrylics inspired by the charm of English country gardens and the bold, sunlit landscapes of Australia. Art has always been central to Alice’s life—growing up in a creative family, painting and drawing were second nature. She worked as an Artist in Residence in Early Childhood Education and taught art in Special Education, where the creativity of children continues to inspire her own artistic practice. A passionate advocate for the wellbeing benefits of art, Alice completed a Diploma in Art Therapy and runs art workshops for adults that focus on creative expression, connection, and self-care. Her philosophy is simple: making or viewing art is good for the soul. In addition to her visual art practice, Alice illustrated the children’s book AliKat Rhyme Time, combining her love of storytelling, whimsy, and playful design. Her patterned and colourful piece Dandelion Wishes was recently awarded a prize in the Royal Queensland Art Society’s Materially Designed exhibition.
